The problem
Public Android 15 and 16 builds for the Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G (ruby / rubyx) compromised on privacy, lacked control over low-level framework APIs, or failed strict banking and enterprise security checks.
What I built
- A full Evolution X 16.0 build on the android-16.0.0_r4 base, producing a 3.0 GB flashable zip that boots on the phone.
- Device, vendor and MIUI camera trees for rubyx (MediaTek Dimensity 1080).
- A build journal that documents every step from source sync to install.
How it works
- Toolchain: clang-r563880c.
- Ten device, hardware and kernel trees ingested on top of the Android 16 base.
- Proprietary MediaTek binaries, camera firmware and radio libraries extracted into vendor/xiaomi/rubyx.
