The problem
Notes apps file thoughts into lists. Noesis puts pins, memories, reminders, recurring events and scratchpad notes on one infinite wall, where the date and time of each pin decide where it sits.
What I built
- A wall where every pin's position comes from its timestamp. Each day spirals out from its centre, earliest first, and pins never overlap.
- Semantic zoom like a calendar without the grid: year, month, week and day, gliding left and right between periods.
- Pin types: permanent, scratchpad (temporary), one-off reminders, recurring events and private pins that stay searchable but blur on screen.
- Torn-paper pins with procedurally generated edges, on dot grid, cement, wood or plastic walls.
How it works
- Flutter client for Android, tablets and the web, with pins lazy-loaded around the visible part of the wall.
- Offline-first sync to a Cloudflare Workers API on D1, using last-write-wins with monotonic timestamps and tombstones so deletes stick across devices.
- Search glides the wall to the matching pin nearest today.
